The paper presents the results of the experimental and analytical investigations of simulated pile driving test that was conducted in SERC on soft clay. The potential frequencies were identified with the help of limited instrumentation and numerical dynamic analysis in which soil-structure interaction has been considered. Conclusions drawn from these investigations are also presented.
