Description |
An a posteriori error estimator and h-adaptive refinement strategy based on mode dependent errors in free vibration analysis of structures are presented in this paper. A number of numerical studies are conducted to demonstrate the performance of the proposed error estimator and the h-adaptive refinement procedure. Results are discussed and conclusions are drawn based on these studies.
