Description The need for infrastructure is fundamental, uniting all of mankind with the common goal to provide shelter, water resources and transportation systems. Natural resources, environmental conditions and socioeconomics, however, create a disparity in the ability to provide adequate, sustainable and affordable infrastructure for the worlds populations. Among today’s infrastructure materials options are modern engineered high performance cement based concrete composites (HPCBCC). On January 4th and 5th, a US contingent of twelve researchers met with twenty one of their counterparts from India to share research findings, discuss the HPCBCC state-of-the-art in both countries and to identify research needs.
