Description A few components of an accidented aircraft were examined. Examination revealed that the damages to the compressor blades were caused due to impact and/or obstruction of the movement of the blades by neighbouring blades/components. None of the blades showed FOD. The bending of the cordon shaft occurred due to impact by a solid metallic object. From the evidences, it was not possible to establish whether or not a bird strike and/or aerodynamic loads had contributed to the damages
