Description A mild and efficient heterogeneous catalyst, Tin(IV) hydrogen phosphate [Sn(HPO4)2 � H2O] nanodisks is investigated for the protection of carbonyl compounds as 1,3-oxathiolanes. The yields of 1,3-oxathiolanes are very good to excellent.
