Description An efficient and user-friendly procedure has been developed for the oxidative deprotection of tetrahydropyranyl (THP) ethers with N-bromosuccinimide (NBS) using β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) in water. A series of tetrahydropyranyl ethers were oxidatively deprotected at room temperature in impressive yields.
