<i>N</i>-Methyl-<i>C</i>-arylnitrones have been synthesized in very high yields within a few minutes from N-methyl-hydroxylamine hydrochloride and aryl aldehydes in presence of sodium hydrogen carbonate in methylene chloride using the microwave irradiation technique.
