Description Electrocrystallization involved in electrochemical phase formation of anodic fi!rns is shown to manifest itself with characteristic features in current-potential response in potential sweep experiments that can be employed as diagnostic criteria. Results on calomel (HgzCI2) formation and growth on mercury are presented and discussed in the paper.
