Description |
The feasibility of utilising fly ash, in combination with plastic clays and feldspar, in the preparation of tableware and artware has been investigated, and the characteristic properties compared with stonewares. While some problems arose in processing, particularly in jiggering, these were overcome by suitable plastic clay additions. Trial fly ash based products showed good craze resistance and strength properties. (C) 1993 The Institute of Materials.
