Description The Past Global Changes (PAGES) project, an internationally funded effort that aims to facilitate and encourage climate science across countries and disciplines, experimented with a different type of conference four years ago with its inaugural Young Scientist Meeting (YSM), held in Corvallis, Oregon. With the aid of several 1st YSM alumni, PAGES built on the success of that meeting and recently concluded its 2nd Young Scientists Meeting (YSM), held from 11-12 February at the International Centre Goa in India. This unique meeting aims to bring together graduates students, post-doctoral fellows and early carrier scientists to share their research, provide networking opportunities, workshops and panel discussions designed to address the specific challenges and opportunities faced by those in this phase of their career. A total of 79 participants from over 27 countries attended the meeting.
