Description Effects oftime, wax concentration and flow improver additive on the sedimentation tendency of Bombay High crude oil have been investigated. Ce.ntrifugation technique has been used in this study. It has been observed that with increasing centrifugation time, the yield of sediments increases while the melting point of the sediments decreases asymptotically and finally both attain a constant value. Use of centrifugation technique to evaluate the effectiveness of flow improver additives in reducing sediment deposition in crude oils has also been demonstrated.
