Description Three vacuum distillates bpiling range 4(JO-530°C derivedlrom Bakrola, Dholka and PY-3 crude of Gujarat region Weresubjected to urea adduct/onto isolate n-paraffin components from them. The deparaffinized base oil obtained after removal of n-paraffin cpmponents from the pistil/ate fractions were further fractionated into various hydrocarbon type constituents viz iso + cyclo paraffins, aromatics & polars components by,column chromatography The influence of various hydrocarbon types components thus separated on rheological.characteristics (pourpoint & viscosity temperature behavior) of depaiaffinized .paseoil was investigated, This stiJdy was done by preparing base oil blends by adding waxes in various concentrat/on.sto differentbCls.eoils & characterizing them. Effect of change of solvent matrix on the rheological characteristiCs a/so determined. The study reveals that wax concentration and its composition is responsiblelorvariation in pour point & viscosity temperature behavior of thewaxy distillate fractions.
