Methyl esters of sui phonic acids obtained from ichthammols prepared from crude oil fractions and methyl esters
of sulphonic acids obtained from the commercially marketed ichthammol have been compared. The sulphur and
sui phone number to which the therapeutic action of these products is attributed have also been determined.
