Description |
Building design codes and seismic codes are revised from time to time and the hazard potential of existing buildings for the revised codes of practice is a major issue. In this paper, a typical RC framed building is designed as per four different sets of codes of practices assuming that the building is designed at different times. The capacity curves are obtained from nonlinear static pushover analysis of building. Performance points of the buildings are arrived for DBE and MCE demands of the IS: 1893-2002
