Description This paper deals with the studies related to fatigue crack growth behaviour of carbon steel and stainless steel straight pipes with circumferential surface notch. The analysis was carried out using linear elastic fracture mechanics principles and finite element method. The analytical values of fatigue life were found to be in good agreement with the experimental value.
