Description Increasing requirements of productivity in open cast mines with safe machine operation and more reliability induces necessity of taking into consideration the vagueness and uncertainty in various parametric data. The problem of less and/or even lack of information and uncertainty in observations and decision making play a key role in many real world problems. Due to which the designers and engineers could not reach to sure solutions of the problems under consideration. In this paper a new approach and methodology to optimize various dragline operational parameters using fuzzy logic technique is presented. The method has been developed. The proposed model is performed on fuzzy logic tool box of MATLAB using Mamdani algorithm based on expert knowledge. A typical theoretical model was proposed and compared with real data. The results demonstrate that the proposed model provides significantly accurate, precise and crisp results
