Description A simple and efficient iodine-mediated domino protocol has been developed to construct poly substituted oxazoles through the C-hetero atom bond formation in water from readily available β-ketoesters and primary amines in high yields. The reaction proceeds smoothly under metal and peroxide-free conditions.
