Description |
Single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) were incorporated in the lead silicate glass host by melt-quench technique. Different thermal parameters were investigated for the base glass and the composite in the temperature range 310 to 683K. Thermal diffusivity was significantly enhanced for the composite in the entire temperature range whereas at higher temperature the thermal effusivity increases in the composite compared to the base glass. Inelastic phonon scattering was discussed to explain the higher effusivity of the composite at high temperature range.
