Description Cobalt powder was obtained by electrodeposition of cobalt from glycerol and sulphuric acid. The morphology and particle size of these powders were studied. Spherical, rounded, angular, irregular, flaky, and aggregate particles were obtained by electrodeposition from glycerol and sulphuric acid. More than 85% particles were smaller than 120µm and 60% particles were smaller than 79 µm. On the other side, size of powder particles obtained through XRD graphs and calculated applying Debye Sharer formula is in the range between 66.9 and 159.8 nm. The apparent density of cobalt powder decreased with increase in concentration of glycerol. The stability of the powder and percent faraday distribution were also studied. It was found that in absence of cobalt sulphate there was some cobalt deposition on the cathode. The effect was discussed in present work.
