Description |
Process of manufacturing sinterable boron nitride powder by synthesizing boron nitride at lower temperature followed by crystallization at the same temperature by increasing the soaking period, is disclosed. Sinterable boron nitride powder is synthesized at 800-950°C in a single stage heating operation. The product is not only sinterable and also cheaper. The synthesized materials finds application in engineering ceramic machineries such as valves, seals, sliding gears, pump components for molten, aerospace machineries like ceramic composite discharge chambers.
