Description The present paper describes a multiple weighing based measurement technique for water flow measurements. The developed technique has the potential for reducing the measurement errors significantly and in-turn improving the measurement uncertainty in the water flow calibration. The multiple weighing process reduces the mass measurement uncertainty and also the diverter error which is basically reduced due to larger collection time resulting from the larger mass of collected water. This method is particularly suitable for large flow rates. The theoretical interpretations and design details are described in this paper.
