Description In this work, we report the synthesis of Ni doped CdS cowrie-shell architectures and submicron balls like structures via low temperature chemical bath deposition method. The as-synthesized materials were systematically characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDAX), Raman spectroscopy and FTIR spectra. XRD results revealed the existence of cubic phase of CdS based material. SEM pictures depicted the growth of well define morphologies i.e. cowries-shell and submicron balls. Deposition time and dopant played significant role in the growth of CdS based different architectures. The EDAX spectra confirmed the presence of Ni into the CdS lattice. Surface structure of synthesized material was derived by FTIR analysis.
