<b>Condiment</b>- Christophene or Chow-Chow, <b><i>Sechium edule</i> (Jacq.) Sw.</b> (Family: Cucurbitaceae) is an underutilized vegetable crop found growing in some parts of North East Himalaya and Karnataka. <br><br> <b>Dye</b>- Natural dyes are S9ft, cool to eyes and good for skin is a fact which has been revived in recent past. <br><br> <b>Insecticide/Pesticide</b>- Plants may provide potential alternatives to currently used insect control agents because they constitute a rich source of bioactive chemicals.
