Description The review article outlines the environmental issues related to machine vibration and their control measures. Most vibrating machines and tools produce noise. Many workers are exposed to vibration daily while using vibrating equipment or machinery. A vibration-exposed worker therefore is likely to be exposed to noise at the same time. Several aspect of machine vibration such as hand and arm vibration and whole body vibration and noise emanating from the vibration have been addressed in this paper. Even the control measures for safeguarding the life of worker’s and machines have been outlined. However, one should note that vigilance is the only way to ensure least exposure to vibration and noise among the worker’s and increasing the life of machines.
