Description An organic –mineral composite of hydroxyapatite (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2) nanoparticles and polymer (CMC and Gelatin) was synthesized via precipitation form Ca(NO3)2.4H2O,aqueous ammonia, (NH4)2HPO4 . The composition and particle size was calculated using x-ray diffraction, microstructure of the composite was calculated using IR spectroscopy, and surface topology was studied using scanning electron micr-oscope. The hydroxyapatite microcrystal were of size ~13- 35nm ,which showed agglomeration when sintered at 1000oC. The interaction between polymer and hydroxyapatite was confirmed in IR spectroscopy ,which leads to the formation of porous structure suitable for showing tissue regenera-tion properties.
