A few cobalt(II) complexes with acid amide ands, derived from 2-aminopyridine have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental magnetic moment measurements, IR, electronic and thermal studies. The acid amide derivatives of 2-amino-pyridine gave distorted octahedral complexes of the type CoL<sub>2</sub>X<sub>2</sub> (where L= PCPA and PCBA; X = Cl<sup>-</sup>, NO<img src='/image/spc_char/3_bar.gif' border=0>, NC<sup>-</sup> and ClO<img src='http://www.niscair.res.in/jinfo/Subscript4.gif' border=0>). |
