Description 903-904
Solubility product constants of some inorganic fluorides have been determined using a double membrane ion-selective electrode. The electrode comprises an internal conductor membrane made of tetrabutylammonium bromide and an external electroactive membrane made of benzyItriethylammonium fluoride in decanol. Dibutyl phthalate has been used as the plasticizer and polyvinyl chloride as the inert matrix. The electrode exhibits Nernstian response (55.50 ± 0.35 mV decade-1) at 25ᵒC. The reproducibility is 0.98. Stability and response time have also been investigated.
