Description |
1006-1008
The quantitative extraction of bismuth is carried out with Ali uat 336S (0.1M) from citric acid (0.01M). It is stripped IIom organic phase into sulphuric acid (0.5M) and determined spectrophotometrically as bismuth–iodide complex at 460nm. Bismuth is separated from antimony, germanium, gallium, arsenic, iron, silver, and tin. It has also been separated from ternary mixtures. The method is extended 0 the analysis of lipowitz metal, eutectic alloy and refining of bismuth. |
