A few organometallic compounds of Pd(0), Pt(0), and Ir(I) metal ions with isonicotinic acid hydrazide and triphenyl phosphine of the formulae [Pd(Pφ3)(CS) (INAH)2], [Pd2(Pφ3)(CS) (INAH)5], [Pt(Pφ3)3(INAH)], [Pt(Pφ3) (INAH)5] and [IrH(CS) (INAH)3] have been prepared and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis and infrared spectral studies. All the compounds are found to be diamagnetic and oxidation states of metals in these compounds are determined iodometrically. In all these compounds, isonicontinic acid hydrazide (INAH) is coordinated through imino nitrogen atom of its hydrazine residue. The metal-ligand vibrations in far infrared spectral region of these compounds are reasonably assigned. |
