Alkaline hexacyanoferrate(III) oxidation of freshly prepared solutions of tin(II) at 25&deg;C follows the rate law,<br><br> Rate = <img src='http://www.niscair.res.in/jinfo/equation117.gif' border=0><br><br> Fe(CN)<img src='http://www.niscair.res.in/jinfo/threebysix.gif' border=0> and Sn(OH)<img src='/image/spc_char/3_bar.gif' border=0> are the active species. Some constants involved in the mechanism&nbsp; are derived. Activation parameters are also evaluated.
