2, 3-Bi (bromomethyl)quinoxaline reacts with disodium tetra rbony]ferrate at ambient temperature to give 2-bromo ethyl, 3- σ-methylenequinoxaline sodium tetracarbonylferrate (<strong>I</strong>) and 2, 3-bis(σ-methylene)qunoxalinetetracaronyliron(<strong>II</strong>) whereas with disodium cyclopentadnylmonocarbonylcobalt, it gives only 2, 3-bis(σ-methylene) quinoxalinecydopentadienylmonocarbonyl-cobalt(III). The complex <strong>I</strong> undergoes conversion into <strong>II</strong> in refluxing cyclohexane. The treatment of 2, 3-bis (bromo-methyl)quinoxaline with sodium tetracarbonylcobaltate yields 2, 3-bis(σ-methylene)quinoxalineoctacarbonyldi-cobalt(<strong>IV</strong>) . |
