In the present study, isoniazid, thiazole and 1,3,5-triazine moieties have been clubbed in one frame work to synthesize a new series of ethyl 2-(4-(2-isonicotinoylhydrazinyl)-6-(arylamino)-1,3,5-triazin-2-ylamino)-4-methylthiazole-5-carboxylates <strong>3a-n</strong>. The newly synthesized compounds have been screened for their <em>in vitro</em> antimicrobial activity. Compounds <strong>3a</strong>, <strong>3c</strong>, <strong>3d</strong> and <strong>3l</strong> have exhibited significant antimicrobial activity on several strains of microbes. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds have been elucidated by IR, 1H and 13C NMR, and mass spectral analysis. |
