Description |
High strength – formable steel sheets are used for making automobile body panels in particular bumpers and basic structures. The hot rolled steel samples were initially cold rolled to 50%, 60%, 70% and 80%. Further these cold rolled steel sheets were annealed. XRD analysis was carried out for phase orientation analysis and process analysis. It is observed that orientations {111} are the most dominating orientation in cold rolling followed by {220}. {220}, {311} and {222} are not observed in XRD peaks because the steel sheet is textured in perfect direction. It’s happens because the Bragg’s conditions are not satisfied. In 80%CR – annealed XRD spectra and powder diffraction spectra, same {111}, {200}, {220}, {311} and {222} peaks are observed. It is observed that addition of Mn (manganese) in steel shifts the Fe (iron) peaks towards the left hand side. It may be the FCC material.
