Description |
Hardfacing is traditionally applied on mild steel structures of mine equipments exposed under wear and abrasion. These surfacing are studies about competitive abrasion between hardface produced and mineral under handling. Application of carbides, borides, nitrides, carbonitrides of high melting metals in tough matrices are described in this article. Relative variation between hardness favors high carbon deposition on low carbon substrates for cases of less abrasion resistance requirement.
