Description |
1531-1534
A series of 2-amino-5-sulphanyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives bearing different substituents have been synthesized and screened in order to evaluate for their central nervous system activity. Anticonvulsant activity of the title compounds has been evaluated by varying the substituents in the thiadiazole moiety. The newly synthesized intermediates and compounds have been characterized by spectral analysis. Two of the tested compounds 3a and 3b have been found to exhibit excellent anticonvulsant activity in comparison to the reference drugs in both the pharmacological models. |
