Description The thermoelectric power (TEP) of Te as a function of pressure up to 8 GPa is reported. Starting with a value of about 600 ?V K-1 at one atmosphere, TEP decreases sharply with increasing pressure, and registers a further drop at the 4 GPa transition reaching 40 ?V K-1 just above the transition. Above 4 GPa, TEP remains practically constant, with no measurable discontinuity at the 7 GPa transition.
