Description Nematodes as bioindicator of water quality and ecosystem function has been emphasized. The behaviour of a nematode parasite Rostellascaris sp. As a biological tag and useful discriminant of habitats and in fishery exploitation has been reported. The recording this parasitic worm in the two geographically different habitats; one an estuary and other a river, suggest the possibility of interhabitat transmission of this species to distant geographical locations by human activity.
