In continuation of the investigation carried out earlier on the failure of clogging indicator of high-pressure filter in EDP line of an aircraft, the separation membrane of another clogging indicator used in the same aircraft at the same location removed during its 100 hr servicing was sent to the laboratory for examination. Observation revealed that the membrane had damages similar to that reported earlier. The damages were found to have been caused due to repeated impact of the magnets on the separation membrane surfaces. Whether or not these damages were caused due to abnormalities in assembly and/or functioning need to be established.
