Description This document contains the highlights of the indigenous developmental effect towards metallization of CFRP components for SATCOM applications (ISRO-SAC). A reflector and feed components were developed to replace the existing Aluminium components. Encouraging results from SAC on the 1 /3rd scaled down reflector led to the development of full scale reflector prototype. Metallization efforts by vapour deposition well as the embedded metallised fabric approaches are in progress. Externally metallised component - the 0.83 m dia. reflector and the internally metallised component - corrugated feedhom are being developed by these techniques.
