This paper presents wear reduction of existing chain used in 100 cc motorcycles. Elongation of chain is calculated and compared with the field result. In an alternate design developed, theoretical evaluation for elongation is made applying the same conditions used for evaluating the existing chain. Fatigue properties of existing standard chain components are evaluated based on mathematical model as well as by using ANSYS software. |
