Description The ever-increasing demand for coal and other minerals in the country and environmental concern has focused interest towards the potential damage and annoyance from ground vibration produced by heavy blasting in mines and quarries. Ground vibrations produced by blasting cannot be eliminated completely but can be reduced to safe limits by designing a suitable blast pattern. Blast vibration prediction and its accurate measurement are also of great concern. Regulatory agencies have set some standards for safety of structures and annoyance to human being. The present paper deals with the structure and operation of an interactive MS-DOS based computer program developed in C++ language for determining the maximum explosive weight per delay at different peak particle velocity (ppv) considering distances of the structure concern.
