Mutants of Escherichia coli K- 12 resistant to a threonine analogue
(ot-amino-I]-hydroxy valeric acid) were predominantly resistant to ethionine and
overproduced both threonine and methionine (2 mg/ml each). Novelty of the
mutants is discussed.
