Description The Movement of heavy vehicles on unpaved haul road of opencast mine is one of the major source of generation of air borne dust. The traditional method for suppression of haul road dust by spaying of plain water does not remain effective after the evaporation of water. The wetting agent of aliphatic organic compound based dust suppressant chemical is mixed in spraying water initially at ratio of dilution of 1:1000 followed subsequently by dilution of 1:5000 acts as dust binder. The Dustron PC lignite satisfied the physico-chemical properties in CIMFR (Previously CMRI), Dhanbad and the satisfactory performance in also observed in the field trial of roadbed of unpaved haul road of lignite opencast mine of GIPCL, Vastan Gujarat.
