Description EL Nino is an abnormal warm situation in the Pacific Ocean which manifests once in a few years due to ocean-atmosphere interaction. It is much talked about inrecent times because it is believed to be'associated with floods, droughts, cyclones, monsoon, fisheries, sea birds,and so on. Not only scientists, but policy makers are also concerned about it as its impact on the economies of many countries is devastating.
