Description The corrosion of copper and its alloys in sea bittern of 32' Be has been studied. under steady conditions copper has been found to withstand corrosion better than its alloys. under aeration admiralty brass and phosphor bronze offer better resistance to attack than copper does. the presence of So4 2- in bittern has been shown to exert a retarding infiuence on the corrosion of copper and its alloys.
