Description |
Increase in Hardgrove Grindability Index (H.G.I.) in some low rank, fresh coals in observed to be due to presence of shale of high H.G.I. whereas lowering of H.G.I. in some high rank coals from its normal value is found to be due to coal-shale inter-grown materials or shales of low H.G.I. present in the sample in appreciable amount.
