Description Simulation of dispersion of the effluent discharge has been carried out using 2-D Model to verify the advection and diffusion of the pollutant patch of the proposed effluent disposal off Paradip, Orissa, India. The simulation of dispersion was performed for low wind speed conditions when mixing is expected to be minimum in the region. Based on the model results the pollutant patch moved and diffused parallel to the coastline in the direction of the along-shore current
